Since starting in 1982 as a one man operation, his company has grown to

mechanics. Building from a one man shop to the present staff was due to
his elevator reputation in the New York City Metropolitan Area working
33 years for Westinghouse Elevator Company. The volume of work was obtained
through the biggest building owners in tile country. The work involved
numerous high rise office buildings, hospitals, department stores and
residential buildings. Mr. Montesano was,on the team of professionals
that redesigned the original Gimbels Building in New York City on 34th
Street to the present A & S Plaza and the team that designed 7 World
Trade Center.
During his 33 years with Westinghouse Elevator Company, Mr. Montesano
was involved with the engineering of the 60 story Pan Am Building, Roosevelt
Hospital, Long Island Jewish Hospital, Beekman Hospital, Sears Tower in
Chicago and many 40 to 60 story office buildings on 3rd Avenue, Park Avenue,
Lexington Avenue and 6th Avenue in New York City.
One of the most involved projects was leading a team of engineers and
mechanics in the modernization of 60 elevators in the R.C.A. Building
located in Rockefeller Center, New York City.
In addition to being licensed for elevator inspections by the New York
City Department of Buildings, he is also on a team of professionals reviewing
what can be done to maintain elevator service during an emergency, such
as a fire so that the elevators would be available and safe for use by
the firemen.
